Scope and Result | Safety function: Protection of Tchibeli export facilities between NKF 2 and NKP. The documented design, engineering, installation and commissioning of the HIPS - Tchibeli NKF-2-1 (SIF2.1 over-pressurisation protection) complies with the requirements of IEC 61508 (Phase 10 and 12 of the safety life cycle) and IEC 61511 (Phase 4 and 5 of the safety life cycle) for SIL 3. Interlock function based on valve position (valves ESDV 3101 and ESDV 3202) is limited to SIL 1 only. The assessment covered the validation of the target system based on evidence documentation. |
Specific Provisions | The instructions given by the HIPS supplier and the safety documentation delivered by the component suppliers have to be observed. Mode of operation: Low Demand Mode, Proof test intervals: Sensor subsystem (T1 = 2190 h), Logic Solver and Final Elements (full function test) 1 year (T1 = 8760 h) Partial Stroke Test (T_PST = 2190 h) Design lifetime: 10 years. Overhaul time: 5 years. Any change in type or firmware of used hard- or software modules and changes in the hard wired logics requires a reconsideration of the whole system. |
