| Specific Provisions | In PL e / SIL 3 applications, in which a periodical demand of the safety function is not ensured by regular operational sequences (≥ 1/month), the safety function has to be tested manually at least once per month. For cascaded systems with series connection of multiple interlocking devices ISO TR 24119 has to be considered, since the maximum achievable safety level could be reduced to lower than PL e and SIL 3. The solenoid locking mechanism is intended to ensure process reliability and not personal protection. |
