Inspection Results | The assessment, based on the inspection programs INS FSP1 V1.0:2017 and INS FSP2 V1.0:2017 of the inspection body, concludes that the ARM Cortex-R5 Processor IP Core Revision r1p3 still complies with the requirements of IEC 61508:2010 for SIL 3 regarding the avoidance of systematic faults for a Compliant Item and still complies with the requirements of ISO 26262:2011 for ASIL D regarding the avoidance of systematic faults for a Safety-Element-out-of-Context (SEooC). As a result, the Cortex-R5 Processor can be used in safety-related applications up to SIL 3 according IEC 61508:2010 and up to ASIL D according to ISO 26262:2011. The requirements and constraints specified in the Cortex-R5 Safety Manual must be observed by the user. Note: The expired TÜV Rheinland Industrie Service GmbH Certificate No. 968/FSP 1503.00/18 of the Certification Body Safety & Security for Automation & Grid is intended to be renewed after successful assessment of the ARM Cortex-R5 Processor IP Core Revision r1p3 with regard to the new requirements of ISO 26262:2018.
